I met someone recently who's spent years building and teaching systems in her business.

But there's one thing that she was very protective of. Her calendar.

She was the only one who can access and manage it.

Nobody had her password. Not even her VA.

Then she got really sick and ended up in ICU. Her assistant told her clients she was in the hospital and asked them to reschedule their 1:1 calls.

But for some reason, while she was in the hospital, people were still booking calls for the following week. So her assistant had to call around and cancel bookings one at a time.

It took about two weeks before she was lucid enough to give her assistant the login and get the calendar actually blocked.

She told me this almost as an aside.

You know, a funny story about the risk of over-protecting one part of your business.

But it's been sitting with me since.

Here's what I keep coming back to...

The thing we're most protective of in our business is worth asking why.

Sometimes there's a real reason.

Sometimes it's a story we told ourself for so long we stopped noticing it was actually a choice.

Or sometimes, it was a lie we told ourselves that we failed to recognize as a lie.

I know... that's some deep sh*t.

So lemme leave you with this...

(It's something I'm journaling about, too)

What's the one thing you're most protective about in your business that you find difficult to let go of control over?
